I guess it depends on what you need or want to use. I enjoy wearing make up, whether it is paleo to wear make up or not, but I keep it light and natural.
As I noted in your lotion question, I use Dr. Hauschka products for some of my skin care. I only wash my face at night, and apply the cocoa butter blend for night moisturizer, so in the morning, I just mist some Dr. Hauschka toner on, pat it onto my face, then apply the Daily moisturizing day cream (it is in a bottle with a pump, way better than their creams in tubes). Then I apply Kinerase eye cream by tapping it around the eye area.
I sometimes have dark circles, and for this, I use Eco Nvey Organic concealer. I get this on Dermstore.com which has a 10% discount program for items in your "favorites" list. They only have 3 shades which is their only downfall, but I am pretty pale so I usually just need their lightest color, but I have a medium to blend with the light for the summer. It has great, lightweight coverage and doesn't crease. I even use the light as an eye shadow base (though I don't wear eye shadow, just the same look as a base). If I have a blemish, I use this as needed.
I use Bare Minerals powder for foundation and blush/face color. I like these products (though other powder products exist that are similar) because they last forever (current jars are going on 2 years) and you can apply as lightly or heavily as needed. The foundation powder can be dabbed onto blemishes very effectively too, and holds throughout the day. Super gentle too.
I have another guilty pleasure - Dior liquid eyeliner in brown - I just love the precision and the lightness, without any smearing. I might try a Dr. H eye liner in the future once this runs out, but eyeliner seems to last so long. Then I use Dr. H mascara in brown. It is fantastic, smells lightly of roses (rose petal wax is in most of their products) and it has great coverage, and it is super gentle.
Then for lips I just use the D. H lip care in a stick. Pretty simple, beeswax, rose petal wax, calendula, all the ingredients on on the website - doesn't taste chemically, and just brings out the natural shade of your own lips, with a little glisten. The stick looks yellow, but that's just the beeswax, and is truly transparent when on your lips.
It seems like so much written down, but this seriously only takes about 5 minutes in the morning because I don't wash my face, just pat it down with the toner. I found that washing my face in the morning made me need more moisturizer, which made my make up melt, but now it feels great just doing this, and then I wash it off at night and just do the eye cream and cocoa butter.
