My paleo-ish elderly mom had to go on penicillin to cure a nasty infected foot. What's the best way to recover from it? I recommended kefir (no-go), then Greek yoghurt. Anything else?

Fermented foods. Probiotics, yoghurt, sauerkraut... obviously to replace the flora destroyed by the antibiotics. |

agree with sauerkraut, fermented foods. dont make a big deal about it, so she doesnt feel like shes on a 'regimen' to get better. she's just eating 'oktoberfest night' or something lol. eat a big bowl of yogurt and berries in front of her, if she's anything like me, she'll steal the bowl. :D hey - does the yogurt work if it's been poured into a popsicle mold and frozen? |
