I cook with butter or olive oil or coconut oil. Grass fed meet or dear eggs in am with bacon. Lunch is salad with low carb veggies a protein and vinegrette with olive oil. Supper is meat and veggies. I have had thyroid meds since the age of 14. I have lost weight before so i know i can. Sleeping good, not much exercice yet put getting there. The weird thing about it all is that my boyfriend is doing primal eating too and being really good... And ge is not loosing eather. So i think we are doing it wrong... We both need to loose 40 ponds at least. Anyone can help? Sorry for vocabulary... Im french!

What is no nut hole cream? Sorry, I'm being a smart ass but when I first read that I was like huh? – Diane Oct 15 at 16:16
Clearly nut hole cream in your coffee is very paleo. Put as much as you can manage in there. – Dave S. Oct 15 at 19:28

While I am a bit concerned about what "dear eggs" might be :), I really don't think you should worry about the lack of weightloss at this point. Rather, just focus on the meal changes, and try to walk everyday. Maybe you're getting some muscle, maybe you'll have a sudden woosh of weight loss in a week or two. Who knows. Give it three months, then let us know what's going on.

seconding the whoosh. That's how it works for me when I'm doing VLC. – Maria Oct 15 at 4:31

I thought I wasn't losing any weight either, I've been eating this way about 1 1/2 months now. I realized the other day though, that despite no "weight" changes, my upper body has become leaner and my waist is about 1 inch smaller at the narrowest point.

For women, especially the pear shaped ones such as myself, we tend to lose body fat on our upper body first, and I know in my experience it can take up to 5 or 6 weeks to notice a difference on my hips or thighs or calves..

I agree with the other poster.. Stick with it! If after 2 or 3 months, still nothing, then try to tweak a few things?

I think at first I was going a bit overboard with the fat and protein eating.. Like overeating. I know people say eat as much fat as you want, but coming from an overeating, high carb background, I can easily pack away 3500 calories a day, and that's not going to let me lose weight. I'm not super active and I don't exercise specifically.

Anyway, good luck!

Fannie, how many calories per day do you eat? Calories in/out count even for low carb. Plus coffee can derange your hormones, it would be good to avoid it for a week or two and see what happens.

No weight came off for me until I started counting calories. I have been Paleo for a month, and notice more with clothes fitting better than a lot of weight loss though there is some. – Monkeyjebo Oct 15 at 7:37
Thanx guys! Ok lots of stuff i can do! Ill try no coffee any one know about substitutes? Ill try walking every day... I was planning that antways... I will count my calories intake and even count carb intake... Merci :) – Fannie Oct 15 at 14:06
Hahaha love that people think im funny! :)... I counted 2300 cal today... Omg!!!! Thats not funny! I did not have coffee but really craved it alllllll day. Felt hungey all day too... Very weird for me. I usualy only drink water but today got a died pepsi! Not cool... And not primal at all! Ill reserch if one coffee a day can harm or mix up my hormones. Have a good day or night. Try adding in more exercise, both cardio and weight lifting. Intermittent Fasting helps a lot with weight loss. Not only will you cut calories and only burn fat during a fast but you will also release HGH which is a hormone that aids in burning fat. Fasting also lowers your insulin level.
