I always wake up with one nostril nearly completely clogged. The other is fine. It goes away within an hour. During the day, one nostril will still be partially clogged. The nostril that's clogged will cycle from left to right several times a day. Is this normal? Or is it a sign of congestion?

as David mentions & refs below, its normal to cycle breathing between nostrils throughout the day & night. But both nostrils should remain clear (unclogged) & you should have no trouble breathing through either (easily tested by closing off one nostril at a time) – daz Oct 18 at 7:46

Erectile tissue in the nose sounds like the most likely cause. During the day it'll alternate. Although, it might be congestion. Tried a salt wash? Lean back until you can see the wall behind you, then gargle warm salty water into your nostrils. Washes away mucous, worked really well for me.
