Ok cavepeeps, what do you brush your teeth with? Is there a product or brand you use? Do you make yours from scratch? Just baking soda? Or are you hardcore and don't use anything? Do you use oil pulling? Please share your oral hygiene!!!

Really? That works? O_o – Melmac Oct 22 at 20:31
Better than toothpaste! Feels so much fresher and my breath never smells! – Van Nov 6 at 22:27

I brush my teeth with just a toothbrush, and I floss. Since going paleo, my teeth have become less sensitive, so I let diet take care of my teeth.

Xylitol toothpaste from epic dental. Xylitol seems to raise mouth PH and help promote remineralization of teeth. I had two sensitive teeth before using the xylitol toothpaste and gum and now they have no pain.

Toothbrush: curaprox 5460 ultra soft. Love it.

Toothpaste: locally made toothpowder - I have never seen anything better. Maybe they should start exporting it :) Made of ground pine needles and some minerals - no baking powder. Non-abrasive. Non-irritating. My teeth are very sensitive - don't feel a thing.

Whitening: Tom's of Maine sensitive - the toothpaste, even though it does not say whitening on the label, has a very remarkable whitening effect, if you brush right. However, my teeth get very sensitive after using it, so cannot use more than once per week.

Nothing else.

A word of warning: do not use products containing cinnamon. It is not good for your teeth.

P.S. I do not floss - I use water pick. It is great!

FYI- my dentist says to use both a water pick AND floss- that flossing is for your teeth and the water pick is for your gums. (I have no idea about the accuracy of that statement, just thought I'd put it out there.) – Julie Oct 22 at 20:46
I was flossing after using water pick for a while - but to me it seemed like a waste of time so I stopped. I have a very powerful water pick though. Maybe your dentist is right, but it seemed useless to me. – VB Oct 23 at 5:30
