A few days ago, I was feeling sore in the ab area from a workout and when I felt it, it felt like I had small grains of rice under my skin. I felt the rest of my stomach and it feels the same everywhere. I don't remember having this before, it's definitely something new since starting crossfit/paleo about 7 weeks ago.
I highly doubt it is anything to worry about, since it feels like adipose tissue (yes, I know what it feels like) but I was wondering if anyone has experienced something like it?
I've dealt with the same thing a number of times. It's nothing to worry about and will resolve by itself. As tempting as it may be, try to refrain from poking/prodding/touching it. I've found that doing this only causes one to worry more about it and can lead to soreness, which causes one to worry even more about it.
Incidentally, I was reading a link on massaging adipose tissue and came across a link on cellulite. I think what you are going through might be related to the fibrous tissue can be massaged to reduce cellulite's appearance.
