I have been paleoing for six weeks and dropped from 105 kilos to 95 kilos, which I am very happy about as weight loss and fat loss was my goal. However doing xfit training I am constantly feeling flat, no energy and weak. What am I doing wrong? Why aren't I feeling energized like other people on paleo are? I am also a shift worker doing a lot of night shifts which is hurting as well

You lost ten kilos in six weeks! I think it's not likely you're going to feel fantastic when you're so very calorically out of balance. Pick a goal. If your goal is to continue to lose weight (hopefully at a slower rate), I'd back off on the exercise. You don't want your body to actually think you're starving, because that's really bad. Once you're ready to take a break from losing weight for a while, then you can properly fuel your exercise so you are able to work. Alternating between periods of losing weight and fitness might be a reasonable approach. Trying to do both at the same time may be too much.

Sounds good. My problems has always been I do things extreme. I usually go all out for about 4 months eating well and training hard then get some results and then go the other extreme way- party and drink alcohol and before I know it I'm back to square one. I'm really trying to work paleo into a long term lifestyle . change this time rather than a 3 month quick fix – Tony b Oct 28 at 0:28

Hey Tony,

It's probably best to throw up some form of a food and exercise journal.

It could be the balance of your diet or it could be that you're over training.

Here is an example of a similar and more detailed question. There are also some answers there that might be useful. 2 weeks on paleo and I still feel like crap.

Keep tweeking it. You'll find a balance that works for you.

This is common when people go paleo , due to the fact they take peoples dogma as gospel ! I really recommend u look @www.leangains.com this is an awesome approach to eating and yes it can be done in a Paleo approach as well which i do myself . Many people when going Paleo always go to ketosis ketosis makez people feel like str8 s**t !! It's good if u don't train ur body but anyone who trains the body , especially extremely needs carbs and needs them in abundance . Check out that website i gave u and be sure to check out my YouTubechannel where i speakon all of this stuff . My YouTube channel is realitychuck821000

If people immediately "go to Ketosis" when going Paleo then they are really not paying attention to "Paleo." I think most will concur that constant Ketosis is not ideal for someone not looking to dramatically lose weight or not trying to fix an overlying health condition. Ketosis has its purpose and application, but it gets taken too far. – KA24 Oct 27 at 18:10
