Simple question:

Is anyone of you Paleohackers living in Portugal?

Just curious about trading some information about places where to get real food and stuff :)

Show yourselves!

I'm portuguese and grown up near Lisbon, but am currently living in Sweden. If you end up discovering good places to shop for in Portugal, don't forget to share here. Always good to know when going on holidays to Portugal :) – raul Feb 23 2011 at 14:17

I am Portuguese (21 year old male from NY).

My parents are originally from Portugal.. born and raised. I have recently read "The Paleo Diet" and so far so good. Ever since I began the diet my TMJ clicking jaw went away. Probably attributed to the anti inflammatory properties of the diet. My father is a baker and owns a bakery and he isn't paleo.. its extremely tough for me to follow the diet sometimes considering there is a constant supply of cookies and bread everyday!

Olá pessoal! More Portuguese meat here... Its good to know there are some "Groks" in Portugal too. Im a Dietetics student in Algarve so you all must imagine the kind of situation i am experiencing right now, with teachers telling me all the time that Paleo is a complete silly and nonsense concept.

PALEO 4 LIFE... GROK ON!

I'm a Portuguese to USA immigrant and I'm thinking of going back home (São Miguel, Açores, or a rural town where people still live the old-fashioned way).

Have things really become that bad? When I was there the animals wer naturally raised. Do you have liveestock factories now?

Concordo...

Dr. Pedro Bastos is portuguese And I believe he's at the university of Lisbon. He is one of the original contributors to Dr Cordain's "The Paleo Diet." I found the canabias website but have a hard time navigating it as my ability to read in portuguese is limited. I'm FB Portuguese living in the Central Valley of California. My wife is FB portuguese and doesn't speak English as well as my inlaws. Any how to guides in portuguese would be great. I looked for Dr. Bastos online but didn't find much.

I remember there being an outside market with a ton of fresh fish and veggies last time I was in Terceira. It wasin Praia de Victoria off the walk that led to the beach and harbor. Where are you at in Portugal? – Caveman formally known as Dan Feb 24 2011 at 2:52

Acho que, sendo poucos (por enquanto?), seria positivo criar um grupo ou wiki algures - Facebook, talvez?
