As I said, I am going to do a 30 day paleo challenge, but I do not like fish or seafoods of any kind at all! Almost all of the paleo plans that I have found say some sort of fish for meals, I need quick and easy recipes with chicken or beef to substitute instead?! Thanks so much everyone!

totally not conducive to answering your question - but not any kind at all??? can i not tempt you at all to somehow grow fond of our little friend the sardine.. he's just sooooooo darn tasty, convenient and nutritious :P (the more for me I suppose!) – CoconutBliss Nov 16 at 5:39
Fisherman's eggs are probably the most amazing thing I've discovered via Paleohacks. I need to find the original poster I found it from and swear to eternal gratitude. More sardines for us! – Varelse Nov 16 at 16:04

You don't need to eat fish but you should try to increase your omega 3 intake to be healthy. Eat omega 3 enriched eggs and take fish oil supplement pills.

Here are some of my favorite non-seafood recipes: Bell Pepper Chicken Fajitas, Paleo Chili, Apple Cinnamon Chicken, and you could also make ginger shrimp and avocado salad but substitute chicken in for fish.

Good point on the omega-3. That's going to be important if it's a seafood-free diet. – Varelse Nov 16 at 16:03

I'm paleo. I haven't eaten fish in over a month. Your fine.

Fish is not a requirement.

It is a great food source however. Paleo can be a lot about experimenting with different foods and recipes, at least it was for me. I don't know what experience you have with seafood but I bet there is something out there that you like. You just have to find it. My favorites are salmon and shrimp.

That being said you can still do a 30 day Paleo challenge without seafood.

Just from searching Google here are a couple Paleo recipe websites you can look at:

Have you tried haddock? Halibut? Neither is particularly fishy in flavour or scent.

"The haddock hits me with a sucker punch. I catch him with a left hook. He eels over. It was a fluke, but there he was, lying on the deck, flat as a mackerel, kelpless." – Dave S. Nov 16 at 20:16

I eat very little seafood and go months sometimes between times. Hubby is allergic to fish, shellfish, and crustaceans. We eat bbeef, pork, and chicken.
