I have been doing Paleo for a week now and every morning I've had either 2 Scrambled Eggs or 2 Boiled Eggs for Breakfast with some berries.
I was just wondering, is it OK having 2 eggs for breakfast every day? They are A Class eggs if that makes any difference lol.
I started Paleo to lose weight, again, I'm not sure if this makes a difference.
Also, if I shouldn't be eating 2 Eggs for Breakfast every day then could you please suggest some other breakfasts that I should be having? I love eggs so I doubt I will get tired of them any time soon. I'm going to start having some bacon (grilled) with my eggs starting tomorrow and on the weekend I'll have some sausages. I do not have any allergies, diseases, sensitivities etc.
My apologies if this is a stupid question by the way...
No, you should be eating at least three.
When you've got that far, you might as well finish the box.
If you can ind a good source of pastured eggs you can quit stressing about how many eggs you eat. Eat as many as you like. My husband and I go through about 4 dozen/week. Eggs are healthy and healthful, especially the pastured ones.
Welcome to Paleo! :-)
I've been on a Paleo diet for 14 weeks now. Eating three scrambled eggs a day for breakfast with a big tablespoon of coconut oil and plenty of olive oil in the pan. Just had my cholesterol checked and it's the best it's ever been. TC 153 HDL 64 LDL 73 TRI 83 All much better compared to my results last year when I ate mostly a SAD, much higher carb diet. So it's true, eating more "good" fats and "good" cholesterol lowers your risk of heart disease. Oh, and I lost 20 lbs on top of it!!
Eggs are great, I'd move to Omega-3 eggs if you haven't already. It's probably not ideal to eat that many eggs a week, but I guarantee there's a ton of other places in your diet where you can make bigger improvements. Maybe add some vegetables to breakfast? I had a few poached eggs with a head of broccoli last night. Yummy.
I love eggs and go through about a dozen a week. There are people on this forum that eat way more than that. I usually have two in an omelette or scrambled every morning. Sometimes I put goat cheese or hot sauce in my omelettes. I usually have a sausage and a handful of nuts too. I think eggs are very healthy but get the ones that have omega-3 in them.
I usually eat three or four, depending on whether I'm having bacon or some other meat with them. But I do a large breakfast and usually just a snack for lunch.
If you are eating eggs everyday, you'll want to invest in good quality free-run pastured eggs.
