Every time I consume a meal that has a high fat content my blood pressure seems to raise to the point where it's noticeable, I'm quite sensitive and it can be uncomfortable especially at night when I'm trying to sleep and can sometimes take till about lunch the next day to normalize.
Is this common? I thought that one of the ideas of paleo is the fact that there really is no such thing as too much fat? (Good Calories, Bad Calories) or could I be lacking in potassium? as I'm doing gaps.
I experience the same thing, but I interpret it as a boost of energy from the meal. If it keeps you up, don't eat so close to bedtime. Save your fatty meals for breakfast and lunch, when that energy will carry you through your day.
I as well am sensitive, and my blood pressure is always on the low side. If yours is as well, I wouldn't view this as a problem.
