I've had this issue for as long as I could remember. If I stand up too quickly, sometimes my sight will go black and I'll feel dizzy for a few seconds. Crouching has always been problematic. I guess I'm restricting blood flow while my knees are bent like that and when I stand, it all starts rushing and I feel light-headed. In the past I have passed out a few times, which had as much to do with low blood sugar as low blood pressure. Yesterday, I was crouching down a lot (for my job) and kept experiencing this dizziness, and my heart was beating really hard/fast at times and I felt hot. I ate some coconut flakes and plantain chips, the only snack I had with me, and felt slightly better.

I'm thinking I was low on salt yesterday? I remembered to salt my food today, assuming that is the cause, but I wanted to find out if this is at all normal or if there is something I'm overlooking. 3 weeks in to this paleo diet, I still don't feel as awesome as I expect I should. My arms, particularly the left one, feels weak a lot of the time. I'm taking a potassium/magnesium supplement because I read it might help, but it hasn't. My diet isn't perfect yet, but I'm working on fine-tuning it. I just want to make sure I'm not hugely deficient in something or doing myself any harm. Does any of this sound familiar? Any advice?

BTW I do plan on seeing a doctor soon for bloodwork and a general checkup.

Don't have the answer but... I just read somewhere yesterday that doctors will administer a new test - they will ask the patient to sit on the floor and then get up because the ability to get up from the floor is an indicator of some sort. I don't think it has something to do with supplements... Unless you are severely dehydrated. – VB Dec 19 at 5:23

3 weeks isn't tons of time to let your body work its self out especially if your cheating still.. some people need a full month of 100% commitment before they really feel the benefits. Salt could be your issue, if you don't get enough but make sure your drinking enough water. Your symptoms could also be an iron deficiency. I would def talk to your doctor, but in the meantime, you could take a multivitamin with iron in it, see if that helps.
