Hey guys... I'am paleo since 4 months..so no gluten no dairies no legumes and tomatoes... but now I feel tired of eating vegetables everyday..in these days i feel like a want to eat "sugar" food and food with gluten (gluten is really bad for me) like pizza or brioches... but why? Can't understand this
ADDICTION : I live in Venice (Italy) ,the place of gluten! here having a paleo lifestyle is very difficult , in venice is full of speed pizza seller and also a speed pasta seller , my friend eat gluten everyday , I'am avoiding it since 4 months , cause when I left it , my ibs it's become at 80% better! But in these last day i feel tired of "meat and vegetables" !
My diet is not so good :
CARROTS ARE THE ONLY VEGGIES I EAT
I DON'T EAT FRUIT
I THINK I HAVE A DIPENDENCE OF SUGAR, CAUSE SINCE 3 MONTHS I EAT A LOT OF DARK CHOCOLATE EVERYDAY !
If you're having cravings for carbs then try adding in some potatoes, white rice, sweet potatoes, and fruit in your diet.
It could possibly be an issue with your gut health that can be causing your cravings, look into GAPS/SCD if that's the case.
I eat a pretty strict diet on GAPS and I have yet to get bored, look up Paleo recipes and experiment with different types of seasonings, spices, etc.
Unless you don't tolerate tomatoes or nightshades(in that case not only tomatoes) then theres no reason not to eat them.
If you handle dairy and can find a good source, then there's no reason not satisfy your cravings for it. This is the difference between Paleo/Primal. Personally I can't tolerate dairy.
My conclusion will be that you have problems with gut health, as I was pretty much in the same boat as you. Immense cravings for sugar and carbs of all types. I'm on GAPS atm, ask away if you have any questions!

Hello Paleo, if you are craving carbs, is because you are not fat adapted. Give it some time, introduce more vegetables in your diet, even if you don't like them, there's no paleo without plants! And cut down on chocolate.
Try adding in more carbs, limiting your chocolate to two squares/day, and cooking more and interesting Paleo recipes. My favorite food blogger EVAH, is www.nomnompaleo.com That woman rocks it in the kitchen. I've tried nearly all of her recipes and, so far, she hits it out of the park each time. You can eat delicious Paleo in Italy - I've done it! It's difficult walking past the pizzerias, but it's worth it. Good luck!
why?! i get bored eating carrots more than once a day!
get more variety in your diet. only carrots? i think you are just bored with your really limited "variety" for lack of a better term.
try broiled cauliflour, beets, cabbage, broccoli, spaghetti squash, eggplant... the list goes on and on.
