Has anyone had a good experience with an Atlanta-area Endocrinologist? I would like to find a doctor with an open mind to diet and medication, not one who immediately prescribes synthetic thyroid. Thanks!

I recommend Dr. Judson Black in ATL. He was my endocrinologist during my last pregnancy (Type 2 Diabetes.) I don't know about his feelings on Paleo/Primal because I didn't find this way of life until after we moved away, but he was a very good doctor in all other respects. Very thorough. He was ok with low-carb, I recall, because that's what I did at the time. He was 100% behind my desire to have non-diabetic blood sugars. He wasn't a drug pusher. I think he would be open to Paleo/Primal. He struck me as the kind of doctor who was there to help, not force his own agenda. |

The Doctors at Peachtree Health & Rehab all subscribe to the Paleo lifestyle and they are functional medicine doctors that do not prescribe drugs for health conditions such as Thyroid issues, Diabetes issues, Chronic Fatigue or peak performance for athletes. 770-454-8300 www.northatlantawellness.com www.phrphysicians.com |
