choline, lecithin and insotol in eggs as well as sulphur are excellent for the liver. animal based fats are the best form for the liver to digest. cut down on vegetable oils including olive oil, flax oil etc and up the intake of fatty meats, fishes, offal(ESPECIALLY LIVER!) and egg yolks. also try an keep carbs as low as possible.
I have primary sclerosing cholangitis. I have some cirrhosis. Pale of a slightly primal variety has alleviated most of my symptoms. Also, I eat as many as 5 eggs a day. I do it for the choline which is supposed to promote liver health. I do not buy eggs though. We raise our own and manage their food so that they produce quality eggs. We have a local coop that makes its own chicken food and it is more expensive, but very healthy. They also have a large yard for scratching up insects, etc.
Don't know which liver issue you have, but I hope you get as much improvement as I have.
in short, no. from a med student's point of view at least, currently we are taught that eggs are the perfect protein and egg yolks do not raise cholesterol levels EXCEPT in those exhibiting significant insulin resistance or lack of insulin...ie type II and I diabetes mellitus
