I guess those two seem like separate questions, but my mother has been nagging me to not eat too many nutrient dense foods in the same meal because she believes that the body can't properly absorb it all at once and so it becomes a waste!
Also, in regards to water, I have heard that drinking too much water can dilute stomach acid, but can it also flush the minerals/vitamins out of our system faster before we've had a chance to absorb all of it?
There are water based vitamins and minerals, and there are fat based. Vitamins; Water soluble are like C and B complex Fat soluble are A, D, E, and K
Minerals, You can definitely overdue Zinc, Magnesium, Copper etc...
We can take quite a bit. Taking too much will result in organ troubles, headaches etc..
Some can kill, but it takes a lot and you would need to be compromised in some way.
Meals of one food may be easier for your digestive system but it could be difficult to obtain sufficient variety if you did this at every meal. Hydrating about an hour before meals and two hours after may not harm you but is unsupported I understand.
