We've been eating paleo for over a year now and loving it. Lost weight, great crossfit results etc. This month we are doing the whole 30 and I am struggling. All I've really had to cut out is a bit of milk in 2 coffees a day, dial the fruit back a bit, and skip the cheese.
We are 11 days in and I am finding by mid afternoon my mental clarity and alertness is tanking, and this continues for the rest of the day (not just a 3pm hiccup).
I've been working out the same amount, am eating plenty and even protein/fat snacks of jerky and nuts aren't making any difference. I don't feel hungry either.
My trainer suggested cutting all fruit for a couple of days in case I was still riding sugar-spikes from that, but no difference.
Typical day of food yesterday was: - post morning workout, sweet potato and custard made with just egg and clean coconut milk - breaky of bacon, mushrooms, spinach - nuts to snack - lunch was leftover roast lamb with broccoli, cauliflower and avocado - more nuts to snack mid arvo - dinner was kangaroo mince with loads of veges - even snuck in some macadamias to try and get an energy kick
