I had a half pound hanger steak, cubed sauteed in coconut oil and raw pasutre butter, onion, portabello; 3 eggs cooked in rendered duck fat; 10 shrimp sauteed in the left over beef grease and added raw maca powder an red wine, long and slow to made a reduction, all over steamed spinach and red chard; 2 glasses pinot noir.

Needless to say I spoiled myself. Thought you could all appreciate. Anyone else have an awesome meal to share?

My Seafood Feast last night after 2 Hours of Intense Ultimate Frisbee. one of my Post Workout Feasts, Its usually something like this, or Steaks or Pork Chops...depends what quality Wild Meat I can find.

  • Wild Alaskan Salmon, appx 12oz. Marinated in WheatFree Tamari, Ginger, Garlic, Black Pepper, Basil.

  • Wild Scallops(appx 7oz) and Shrimp(appx 12oz), Sauteed in Coconut Oil, with a dash of Cayenne.(hard to see bad picture, but these are piled high)

  • Organic Asparagus, Sauteed in Coconut Oil/Garlic

  • Organic Baby Spinach, Sauteed in Kerrygold Butter, Garlic with a dash of Cayenne.

  • Mashed Potatoes, blended with Heavy Cream, Kerrygold Butter, Garlic, Salt and Pepper.

  • Granny Smith (gluten free)Hard Cider from Trader Joes.(my 5%)

Big bowl of gluten-enriched pasta with a bunch of high fructose corn syrup poured over it for the taste, and some beans cooked in sunflower oil.

Why do people cook with raw butter? It's expensive and ends up the same as cooked butter... 6 pieces of pastured bacon, baked, along with a half head of purple cabbage sauteed in the grease and some Kerry Gold and MCT oil, with an avocado. Before that, 4 oz of raw sockeye salmon with more avocado.

Slightly roasted and then steamed Veggies (Cauliflower, broccoli and Brussel Sprouts) with a lot of crisp baked Bacon and Sauce Bernaise. hmmm.

I hadn't eaten since dinner the previous night and broke the fast with a cheesesteak sans bread.

I had bought sandwich steak this morning on the managers special ("buy by" date was today) -worked out to just $3 for a pound. I marinated the meat for about 30 minutes in a combination of balsamic vinegar, olive oil and black pepper. Sauteed 2 onions, red and yellow bell peppers and sliced baby bella mushrooms in kerrygold butter. In a separate pan cooked the steak and melted sharp provolone cheese over it. Combined the meat and veggies and split with my wife.

Later in the evening snacked on some coconut flakes and then my better half fried up some of the abundance of farmers market eggs we've been neglecting in the fridge this week. I had two / had to.

Chicken soup (homemade stock, local organic chicken, onion, cubed sweet potato) with a squeeze of lemon and chunk of butter in each bowl; a side of roasted pork belly with chilli-garlic dipping sauce. Small cube of 90% cacao chocolate on a spoonful of solid coconut oil topped with a tiny pinch of kosher salt.

Put butter in pan with herbs, onion, garlic, pepper, sea salt, stuff like that. Fry a little and add water and tongue. Cook it for (about) three hours. (As if you are making broth). Ready when the tip of the tongue is soft. Get it out and peel the skin off. Cut in slices. Use cooking water as a base for soup or sauce for the tongue. – modderbaard Jan 15 2011 at 20:15

I went out for the first time in a while.

Deviled eggs, chicken liver pate and pickled green tomatoes, arugula and beet salad, braised beef cheek with turnip puree, rabbit livers with frisee and peach preserves, and fried pig ear bologna.

Catfish.

...slow-cooked with carrots, onions, and coconut chips. Added some apple cider vinegar, cloves and pepper for flavour. Thickened with a little arrowroot flour.

Last night was a 1lb lamb leg steak fried in pasture butter in an iron skillet with a steamed sweet potato + pasture butter/cinnamon and some steamed spinach. Honestly, I'll probably have the same thing tonight except with purple potatoes instead of sweet. Might have a handful of some blue- or blackberries for dessert.

12 oz ground beef made into meatballs with Ginger, nutmeg, chili powder, and old bay.

14 oz baked white potato rolled in tallow, coconut oil and kosher salt. (one russet, one Yukon gold)

Small green salad with olive oil.

One bowl of home made bone broth from beef bones.

One handful (?) of kimchi.

I just had the most delicious. dinner. ever.

I scrambled two jumbo eggs in bacon fat, added some chopped smoked salmon, then covered it in tahini and sriracha, and fresh-cracked black pepper.

Totally licked my plate clean. :)

I went to a Brazilian steakhouse and had beef until I couldn't eat anymore (all you can eat). Mostly top sirloin and boneless ribeye, but tried all the beef cuts. Had a few vegetables and some alcohol too.

I wish I could eat somewhere like that everyday where the whole restaurant is focused on meat instead of bread, pasta, etc. And they actually know how to prepare it well - not some lean dried out cuts of meat like you get at most restaurants.

If you are paleo and have never been to one of these places you are truly missing out.

(Sorry, that was last night but thought it was worth sharing.)

Lamb chops marinated in balsamic, rosemary, and garlic, fried in extreme amounts of coconut oil/ghee, served with steamed kale and arugula.

I am currently eating the leftovers for lunch and never been happier.

Just had to edit this with last night's dinner:

Fried 5 slices of pastured pork belly bacon. Fried chopped spinach, cabbage, mushrooms, onions, and about 1/2 pound of leftover grass-fed ground beef in the bacon grease. Threw it together with the bacon, some spices, and shredded white cheddar (grass-fed!). Tasted like a bacon cheeseburger pizza. Amazing.

I made my husband chicken tacos, so I took a chicken breast for myself and fried it in coconut oil with a whole zucchini.

Chicken breasts baked with sage, prosciutto, and fontina, then covered in a mushroom, wine, stock, and cream sauce, with sides of mashed potato and a couple spoonfuls of corn.

Tonight is lamb kebabs marinaded in yogurt and spices, with tabbouli sans bulgar and a bit of homemade hummus. Yeah, yeah, beans aren't paleo, but it's the first time in about 6 months.

I was lazy & tired, and not that hungry. So I just grabbed some lox & almond butter. This is my safety meal, that keeps me from straying from Paleo.

Tonight, however! New York Steak, salad, and roasted veggies (carrots, onions, and zucchini)!
