I recently returned from Punta Cana. I tried eating paleo while I was on vacation there but slipped a few times. I seem to have the symptoms of a bladder infection. I am not prone to them. What natural cures can I use? I'm not really interested in antibiotics. I've started drinking cranberry juice - will this help?
EDIT: Nevermind....I searched UTI and got my answers.
Antibiotics are necessary if you do have a urinary tract infection. Cranberry juice won't hurt, as hydration in general will help relieve the pain a little as it dilutes the bacteria and you pee some of it out, but it won't cure the bacterial infection. When the pain gets bad enough you'll have a better incentive to use the wonders of modern medicine.
Sorry you aren't interested in antibiotics, but that's life. Or death, if you would rather have a raging bacterial shitstorm in you than a few pills.
