I'm needing to up my protein and also having a protein shake plus a bit of fruit would be so convenient .... Could I assume that Reflex natural whey is the one to go for?
Many thanks Phil

Phil5062, I take it you're in the UK/Europe? This is a brand that sells over there and not really in the US. You may want to mention that because otherwise most of the recommendations you will get will be fairly expensive for you with shipping and all. From what I've seen, Reflex has a good name for providing a quality product. However, I tend to be a bit more anal in looking at the stuff, and I'm not really sure I would go for this particular package unless I didn't have better sources. While they've got a good protein source, they hit several of my hot buttons on things I don't like. Why exactly are you going for more protein? What are your goals? |

Maybe Humapro? It might have been mentioned in another question here, can't remember. But it seems like a very interesting product: |

If you must powder instead of Food(sigh), shoot for Grassfed, whole powder...

does have Xylitol, see Pro/Con thread currently in progress. Keep it away from your pets. Xylitol kills dogs/cats.

I recommend Integrated Supplements Whey Protein Isolate because it has no cholesterol, which can oxidize. The other products above had 36-40 mg. Here is an article explaining why it is important. http://integratedsupplements.typepad.com/integrated_supplements_bl/2007/04/study_finds_oxi.html |

There is not a bit of difference between Grass Fed and Grain Fed animal protein powders. A slow(er) protein powder like Casein or Egg digests more slowly and therefore more closely mimics solid food Amino Acid uptake by your body as opposed to 'fast' whey protein powders. On nutrition makes some of the worlds best protein powders and they are affordable too. |

According to me, natural whey protein powder is a best protein powder supplement. |
