I spent 4 straight weeks only Paleo - doing amazing!
Then, started traveling for work again.
What is the best way to get back to the results I was seeing in the shortest timeframe?
I've had the same problem of how to psychologically transition back to Paleo after "falling off the wagon".
Raw willpower aside, I need the right attitude.
My current attitude is the slow, wrong way: Once off, I simply cheat for the rest of the day, and use it as an excuse to stuff in an extra Twix bar or ice cream cone, and only start afresh the next.
I need a dynamic hack that stops the cheat on the first. That gets me right back on the wagon without pomp or ceremony, and immediately.
Need an inspirational quote, but one does not come to mind. From Sparta, from Rome, from Max Weber (i.e., the Protestant Work Ethic), maybe even Nietzsche's ramblings about absolute self-mastery.
I had was in France for carnival last weekend (it was awesome by the way!), the land of brioche, baguettes and croissants... My willpower lasted about 6 hours before I broke and decided for one weekend I would just eat what I wanted (ie. brioche, baguettes and croissants lol!).
And now my wrist and elbow joints feel like they're made of smashed glass, I've had a headache all week and I spent a lot of my last day in France and journey home asleep :( Thats incentive enough to go strict paleo the minute I got home! I just hope it doesn't take long to recover :/
Thing is, I'd do it all again if I went back, those chocolate croissants are amazing lol!
I know how U feel just had an awful eating session of sweeties!! after my first 6 weeks of paleo going so well!! Dont know where it came from as ive had no cravings & ive been enjoying it so much. But The journey is long so take a deep breath & jump on where U left off ;o)) I think im going to introduce some more Good carbs into my diet as im pretty active & im feeling tiered with cutting them out altogether!! I also keep eating when im not even hungry :o( Im such an emotional eater its going to take a while to master this , but thats ok it will be totally worth it,, good luck xx
