Wondering how many eggs I should eat for breakfast? Some stats:
5'9", 165lbs, and I'm very active. Exercise a ton. I've been eating eggs over easy with a medium sized sweet potato underneath for breakfast. Two eggs doesn't seem to be cutting it.
Goal is to add lean mass, not maintain or loose.
The kids from Whole9 say a serving of eggs is however many you can fit in your hand. I'm about your size and can easily hold four. Of course, that's if you are using eggs as your main protein source like in the meal you described.
If you have any sort of gut issue or autoimmune disease I would not go beyond two eggs. Folks can and do acquire egg sensitivity, ... not sure why. If you need a bit extra for breakfast I suggest adding sausages and/or bacon.
I have 5-6 eggs, though I'm only eating the yolks for the most part, throw in 5 to 6 pieces of bacon, double shot of espresso with some heavy cream and THAT's a GOOD morning folks...tends to hold me over for about 7 hours.
