So here's the deal.
I'm willing to put my short term health on the line to help test the effect of high fruit in conjunction with adequate protein diet
Basically only food that wants to be eaten or defenseless when dead.
Meat and Fruit.
But a simple observation self study won't show much of what's happening chemically in my body. I want to volunteer to get a whole ridiculous slew of tests done, A1C, all the bloodwork, bodyfat, Bone density, etc. Then spend X amount of time eating said diet. Record Everything, and get retested for everything.
I'm willing to consume Whole foods only, no wheat or gmos, no supplements or chemicals.
Anyone have ideas how I can get sponsored? Not worried about my time as much as the costs of all the testing.
I'm willing to help test other whole food centric diets as well.
So far I have my personal lacto paleo cyclic calorie routine that ice found works best so far as how I FEEL, but I wan to see and show numbers scientifically.
How can I become a guinea pig for whole food science?
Edit: if you also are interested, let me know N>1 is even better, maybe we can get bites if we have a big enough group.
You need to find someone interested in what you are researching that has no stake in the outcome. So meat/fruit producers should be out of the question.
I would think possibly one of the Ancestral Health leaders/speakers might be willing to put their money behind this. Someone like a Robb Wolf or Cordain might be interested. I know Robb was willing to fund studies at the University near him. You would need to put together a convincing professional package, detailing what you want to accomplish, how you are going to accomplish it and how much money you think you need.
I would take a look at the list of people presenting at the Ancestral Health Symposium and start there. If you get it done quick enough, you can get 6 months in before the event.
Its funny that you post this because I recently began reading a little bit of Ray Peats blog, and although he isn't strictly paleo, he believes that fruit is much less dangerous than vegetables. I believe he argues against vegetables because of there defense mechanisms. I would be interested in the results of this experiment, because I am still on the fence with fruit, and don't really know what to think about it.
