I've just taken up the Paleo Diet and wanted to know what I could drink to have the best possible health. Right now I've just been drinking water for almost a month. I'm not looking for safe drinks but ones that help or increase my health, strength, power, muscle mass, testosterone, etc. It doesn't have to taste good. All that matters to me is to get my health at an incredible level from eating and drinking things that are only good for my body. So which one's would you recommend?
And if you want something that will increase the health of your gut, give kombucha a try. Ultimately, the foods you eat will fuel your "strength, power, muscle mass, testosterone." You don't want to drink your calories or your nutrients too often.
You might want to give white tea a try. I like it better than green tea. White tea has a sweeter taste and does not taste as "grassy" as green tea.
Bone broth is a good one! Tons of nutrients in that.
I love ginger tea as well (simmered grated ginger root) sometimes with a little lemon. That's a really nice warming liquid.
Kefir (especially if you make it yourself) has a lot of good bacteria that help gut health, if you tolerate it.
Green tea and black coffee are good occasionally, for their antioxidant content.
Other than that, plain water is the best and most effective for thirst!
