I used to have an asymmetrical, "melting" face since childhood. Two years ago, which was the last time I checked my face, my biology professor mentioned that symmetry is a sign of health. I knew wasn't very healthy (a lot of reasons). My face was pretty messed up even before puberty, and I had 18 years of deprivation before the last two years of weston price. I would've expected my 'melted' look to be more permanent but I guess not.
I started my weston-price guided lifestyle a year and a half ago. Last week, I studied my face since I forgot which eye was below the other, which direction my nose turned, and if my eyes were still different shades. I wasn't able to tell anymore. My eyes were the same shade, on the same level, and the nose wasn't crooked. I also grew two inches in height within the last two years. I thought I was stunted for life at the age of 13. I am almost 20 now.
Can diet really can change someone's facial structure like this in a year and a half, or maybe it's just me "growing into" my face? I may have been lucky to change my face so quickly since I am still growing, but how about full grown adults? Has anyone else (especially full growns) have had something like this happen?
Asymmetrical faces run in my family, it is just how we are made, my mom, brothers, and daughter all have it (but interestingly not my father or son which is why I think it's genetic). I have never thought much about it except noticing I look different when I am looking at a reverse image of myself. Virtually every face (and body) is asymmetrical, if you took a picture of someone and divided it in half and repeated one side to the other, it would look funny, "too even". Try it. I don't think it's a flaw.
But switching to a good diet can do wonders for your skin, hair, and overall "look", it can get rid of things like dark circles under your eyes and poor complexion, and feeling better can give you confidence, it may make you less likely to downcast your eyes and otherwise look more positive.
If you look at the before and after pictures of people who have gone on the Paleo diet, their bodies may have lost weight, but their faces are much more attractive and brighter, because they're basically healthier.
Faces can change quite rapidly. Mine has, due to spiritual/emotional growth, which is tied into going Paleo. It helps if you massage and stretch your face whenever it feels good to do so. Massage to your heart's content. Your jaws, your cheekbones, your chin, etc. Don't hold back! (But don't force it either).
