I bought a fancy juicer a few months before I discovered paleo. Now obviously I'm not going to be making any sugar bombs with it, but I'd like to have it do more than just gather dust.

This morning I made cucumber/celery/spinach/parsley/lemon juice. It's pretty tasty and refreshing.

Do any of you juice? Do you have any great low-sugar juice concoctions worth checking out?

p.s. beet juice and absinthe is an incredible, albeit weird, cocktail.

I used to use my juicer for sauces and soups more than juices. It took a ton of vegetation to get one glass of juice. – Carl_Stawicki Jan 22 2011 at 16:08

I don't juice, almost bought one pre-paleo too. I would favor the milder veg like the cukes and celery. Try fennel+cucumber, very delicious. I'd use it to juice ginger too. – Hannah Jan 22 2011 at 17:00
Mmm...fennel & cucumber sounds very tasty. Ginger shots will be nice when the guts are in a knot, too, I suspect. – gone2croatan Jan 22 2011 at 22:09

Lol, Im in the same boat. Bought a really nice Omega, but I rarely use it anymore due to the sugar content of fruits and veggies. I really like using cucumber, garlic, ginger, tumeric radishes, cilantro, celery, carrots once in a while.

The beet juice plus absinthe sounds legit... adding to my list of things to try ;)

I used to juice pretty regularly- my faves were apple/carrot/kale+1/2 lemon, and fennel/apple/lemon. I guess the apples are sugary, but the juices were dang delicious!

^I really notice a difference from juicing vegetables, did you? – Henry S Jan 1 2012 at 22:56
I can't say it made me feel any different, but the combo of fruit & greens sure was tasty, and must provide a nice shot of nutrients. – Jules K Jan 3 2012 at 19:52
