I no longer have SIBO but I still have some very weird food sensitivities and my gastritis have worsened due to a food slip-up.
I am reacting to all foods except protein - if I eat protein only, I feel totally fine. But I cannot live on protein only for the rest of my life.
I have tried carrots and pumpkins. Yes, I am fine eating those BUT I am already orange from eating so many of them over the last six months, I cannot do it to myself. People ask me what foundation I am using when I am not using any.
I have tried other low FODMAPS vegetables, and they are not as effective as protein (which means I get low energy after eating them).
On top of it all, recently I had a little (ok, a huge) food slip up and had some kimchi (just to discover it had sugar in it) - a mistake I will never repeat for the rest of my life - which aggravated my gastritis. Well, my doctor prescribed PPIs and that's what worsened SIBO in the first place so I refuse to take it!
How do I re-populate good vegetable eating bacteria since I cannot really eat any vegetables, fermented foods and probiotics?
Any natural low FODMAP remedies for gastritis?
Would it help to have some homemade rice porridge or oatmeal? It is against SCD but I have ran out of ideas.
Are you eating organ meats, seafood & cheese? They can really pick up the slack, micronutrient-wise.
Raw goat milk kefir, if you can tolerate dairy.
I have FODMAPS-intolerance, but I can eat spinach & potatoes with no problem.
Kimchi with sugar in it? Do you mean the nutrition facts, or the ingredient label? If the former, that's not proper traditional kimchi. And if the latter, that's only there for the fermentation, and should be completely gone by the time you eat it.
Also, this is a mistake you'll never make again for the rest of your life? Isn't the point to solve your digestive issues so you can tolerate more kinds of food again? Kimchi is a great traditional food. Extremely healthy if you tolerate it.
