Hi Everyone,

I eat a lot of eggs. Sometimes up to 24 in a day on days that I work out. I've never had any signs that eggs are not digesting well for me, but is it always obvious? Is it possible that I can be absorbing less egg nutrients (e.g. protein) over time despite not being bothered by any symptoms? Sorry if this is a dumb question..just a thought I had.

Thanks!

do you have ANY kind of health problems or symptoms at all (fatigue, joints, etc)? – qualia Jan 26 2011 at 16:36

If you can eat 24 eggs in one day, an allergy is quite unlikely. Makes me want to watch that scene in Cool Hand Luke... – wjones3044 Jan 26 2011 at 20:35

To be on the safe side, I would avoid eating a certain food in excessive quantities on a daily basis, let alone eggs which are known allergens. You may run out of luck soon... Better to rotate foods, IMO, even if it means putting a little more time and effort into cooking.

With no adverse symptoms, I can't imagine that you've developed an allergy. 24 eggs a day is a lot, though... are you eating equal amounts of other protein sources? For me, variety in protein sources (meat, fish, eggs) is a good thing...
