Well, this is an awesome question, but I am having gut trouble for sure. I made this post http://paleohacks.com/questions/21129/fatter-and-feeling-worse-on-paleo-than-when-i-was-vegetarian#axzz1CsPztKmn about a week ago.
So, after doing many things years back like candida cleanses (with no sugar, even fruit), liver cleanses, and eliminating wheat and then all gluten, my stomach was doing well. I was regular - two BM's a day for the last two years or so. I haven't had nuts for the last 6 days, as several people thought that could be causing my weight gain and gallbladder issues. I am still having gallbladder pains, and had one attack after trying pork bacon.
Since switching to Paleo from vegetarian, my digestion was definitely moving slower. I expected this for a few weeks after introducing meat, but it's been longer than that. I haven't pooped more than a rabbit sized pellet in 5 days. I've drank Nat Calm (double sized dose over usual amount), black coffee (which I rarely drink since it bugs my GB, but it ALWAYS has done it for me before), and triphala. I'm just causing a lot of rumbling in there. I have awful, awful smelling gas, and stinky sweat.
This week, I haven't been getting enough sleep. I'm a single mom, blah blah blah. Overworked, etc. My car just broke down, so I've been walking to work, and generally get a lot of exercise anyway. Lately it's been too much though. I've been getting less and less sleep. Last night was about 4 hours. Yes, I sleep in a pitch black room, and use f.lux. I have to get up for work at 4:30 am. I am not tired until midnight. I have the option to sleep earlier, but can't fall asleep. I used to go to bed around 9, sometimes 8. I never eat past about 6. If I drink tea, it's at breakfast. So seeing as this week, I'm just pooped, is my body not wanting to poop?!
Last two days food: Wed: 1 egg, scrambled. Turkey bacon, 3 pieces, uncured. 1 banana. Chocolate square (yes there's some caffeine in one square, but minimal). mulligatawny stew (green veggies, burdock, coconut milk, beef stock, and grass fed beef) - two bowls. Roast leg of lamb with collard greens.
Thurs: Mango. Beef Jerky. (was not that hungry for breakfast, as I feel so damn full!). Elk pattie with plain salad and one avocado and one cup mulligatawny stew. Coconut curry with flank steak and veggies.
P.S. - no stomach cramps, just lots of rumbling.
