Almost everyone seems to be in the US - keep reading really good recommendations about suppliers over there. Perhaps I should move!
Would love to find others in Australia to find out where you buy food from etc?
Anyone?

Did you try Meetup.com? I see there's one in Sydney... they look like they might be struggling, but they've got a decent member count. http://www.meetup.com/Modern-Paleo-Sydney/ |

Hi MrsRobinson! I am in Australia and have found it easy to stay Paleo here. We are actually quite fortunate to have kangaroo meat available for cheap (generally very lean, 21g protein per 100g, and relatively high in CLA)...and Australian-produced beef has traditionally been grass fed, so that is a nice plus too. Just checking out that meetup group now... would be happy to chat further! |

Yep. Western NSW here. Get my meat from the local butcher. Vegies from the supermarket + my Garden. You don't need much else. |

I'm in Perth, WA right now. Not hard to find organic/grass-fed meat etc. Local Coles/Woolies/IGA will do. If you're in Perth, try Dorper Lamb (www.dorperlamb.com.au). Excellent lamb and beef can be gotten here at very reasonable prices. Grok on! |

Me raises hand I'm in Melbourne but I've only gone paleo 5 days ago so I'm struggling with finding suppliers myself I can though recommend Indian grocery stores if you have any near you as I went into one yesterday and they had so many options and it was actually cheaper than Coles or Safeway (which I avoid as much as possible) I'm not sure where you are based but near me we also have Preston markets, they are fantastic |

Hey Suz, I am in Brisbane and yeah same deal, hard to get the paleo information on a local level here. I have seen you in the Aussie Paleosphere with your paleo blog and on Twitter so I'll be sure to check it out with you and get more great Paleo stuff going on in Oz. |

Hey Guys, This is more to encourage you i think, I recently moved back to Canada from Adelaide ( well i do this 6m here 6m there thing anyways) just wanted to say when i was in Adelaide i used to read about all these paleo brands you can get over here ect. I couldnt wait to get here and try them....boy was i wrong! yeah you can get them but half the time your running around the city trying to find them, ordering off the internet or they are crazy expensive!! I actually came to the conclusion that yes maybe my options are not as big as they are here but eating paleo was way easier for me when i was there. Even little things like going to a cafe and getting a latte that has organic milk......organic milk here? at a cafe? are you kidding!! I know i was sad :( Im actually looking forward to my 6m back "home" because i know there is always the sunday morning farmers markets close to the house, or we can go fishing to get nice fresh fish. Organic kangaroo and even meats that you find at Coles, surprisingly thier prices for ceritfied organic to what i pay here for frozen organic is becoming more enticing to be paleo there. Anyways its not easy but i hope this encourages you guys to keep going and to know that, the grass isnt that greener on the other side :) |
