As of January 1st, I started eating Paleo (PaNu) style. I am down 14 lbs (194 to 180) and definitely seeing other positive changes. Just this week I had a regularly scheduled physical and had some blood work done. Amongst the many metrics, the one I was specifically interested in seeing a "significant" change was my High Sensitivity CRP number since I have some concerns about CVD given family history, etc.
I was a bit surprised it hardly budged at all - ever so slightly lower but not much - 5.5 down to 5.4, with <4.9 considered "good".
1) Am I being too impatient in expecting more of a change? 2) Are there better metrics that I should be looking at?
FYI on other metrics - Age 41 - Fasting glucose 84 - Total Glycated HGB 5.7 - Calc HA1C 5.1 - LDL 138 - HDL 40 - Total Cholesterol 201 - Triglycerides 115
Thanks, Aravind
