I'm trying to set up a budget, and my first goal is to get my groceries in order. To that end, I'm trying to set up a general meal plan for myself that will optimize my nutrition while simplifying prep time. All the meats are either wild-caught or grass-fed from http://www.texasgrassfedbeef.com .
Mon-Thur
.5 lb Pork Sausage
1 lb Ground Beef, Buffalo, or Lamb
Fri-Sat
.5 lb Beef Bacon (sliced brisket)
.5 lb Ground Beef, Buffalo, or Lamb
.5 lb Chicken or Beef Liver
Sun
.5 lb Beef Bacon
1 lb Salmon
In addition, I will eat the following daily:
2 cups leafy greens (spinach, kale, spring mix, turnip or collard greens)
2-3 cups non-starchy vegetables (usually broccoli or cauliflower, but also things like asparagus, onions, etc)
1 sweet potato or other starchy vegetable (on occasion)
Various fats and oils for cooking or flavor (clarified butter, coconut oil, coconut milk, and avocado being the main ones)
For reference, I am 23 years old, 5'9" tall, and weigh 183 lbs. I have a part time standing job that involves moving around weights of 10-60 pounds around 25-30 hours per week. I have already lost a lot of weight (about 100 lbs total, the last 50 over 1.5 years primal/paleo), but I still have a lot of flab hanging around my midsection that I'd like to get rid of. I'd also like to up my strength even more, but the fat loss takes precedence.
