Are toxins stored in beef liver or in beef fat?

I'm very new to this diet, and i love it, but i have trouble accepting liver as a healthy meat. And i love liver! But......isn't the liver the organ that "cleans" up the blood, detoxifies, and so forth, wouldn't it therefore be full of contaminants, toxins, etc? No matter what animal it's from? Please explain!!
