So, what should we put in our emergency food supplies for earthquake preparedness? Seems like most things that can be stored for a long time are processed food items.

I'd do sardines, canned salmon, coconut oil, maybe some cans of pumpkin or sweet potatoes? And a can opener! |

I just bought a few cases of my favorite kippers off of Amazon. It'll be a stinky apocalypse. (Also, bottled water, jerky, Larabars, canned vegetables) |

I say tons of dried fruit and veggies. lots of nuts and dried meats would be good. And any long lasting good fat. |

Canned fish would work. You could eat them as they get old and replace with new ones. Coconut oil is a great suggestion as well. You might also try rice. Not perfectly paleo, but it will keep you alive. |

If I belonged to a church that recommended a years supply of food because of a wtshtf scenario, I'd store wheat, corn, and rice. Survival takes precedence over optimal health. Most disasters in developed nations require 3 - 14 days worth of food and water to "survive." I'd go with canned tuna, sardines, vegetables, etc - things that can be eaten cold. |

Have some water or a water filter and a 5 gallon bucket of coconut oil. That's a lot of calories and it won't go bad for years at room temp. |

I belong to a church which suggests having a year supply of food. Have done so for many years. But one of the suggestions is wheat. I have been wondering that same thing for months now. What do we put into out storage? I have a friend who cans his game meat, but what else? |
