I was recently diagnosed with premature ventricular contractions and I've been living 80/20 for a year plus. I went to decaf for a week and saw the intensity of the PVC decrease. Upon further reading I see articles related to balancing electrolytes as possible solutions. What are the good ways to fix this in a paleo/primal way?

I usually squeez a lemon in a litre of water and add a dash of salt to it then drink this throughout the day. Loads of electrolytes in lemon. It doesn't taste all that good with the salt in it but it's drinkable. Sure helps me hydrate when I can't stay away from the coffee :)

Surprisingly that actually sounds really good. – Oranges13 Apr 17 2011 at 15:53

A few years ago I had a holter monitor that showed 2,400 PVC's in 23 hrs. The cardiologist said to stop all the supplements I was taking because there was an ingredient in there some where that was causing the problem. I stopped all supplements and the PVC's stopped. Electrolytes had nothing to do with it in my situation. I now do take Vit D, fish oil, zinc and magnesium, at night for sleep, and still have no PVC's.

I only take a Vitamin D, pill a day. I try to take a fish oil pill but I forget, so it isn't daily. – Scott Mar 20 2011 at 16:59
