First of all I at this time cant be strict paleo in the sense of conventional versus grassfed. Right now i am purchasing all mostly conventional with some grassfed or organic meats. I have been working on this lifestyle since jan 17th and only lost 11 lb up till last week. Also, I am the person that cant currently eat red meat, probably leaky gut, but i have had some major constipation lately that has only been corrected by medicine so i am not ready to try beef anytime soon, grassfed or not...
i take 3000mg of vit d 2 slo mag 2 potassium 99 mg 2-3 colace stool softner
it seem like everytime my period comes around the ketosis is harder to sustain and the increased lbs on the scale start to make me doubt what i am doing. since it takes a few days for that weight gain, water or what ever, to go away it feels like i take two steps forward three steps back.
I havent felt my best like i did the jan and feb after the initial carb flu. I have started being exhausted again. sleep was off due to possbily the magnesium at night plus i work from home and am oncall 5 pm to 7 am.
my main meals are 16 oz earl gray tea with 2-3 oz of heavy cream x2 over the course of a day
delayed breakfast until 10-11 of 2 eggs and bacon, sausage or spinach (depending on what i have around)
lunch 1/2 chicken breast or liverwurst or pork with butter melted over the cut meat
dinner chicken, pork or liverwurst in some form on side of plate with salad or mixed into salad. some nights just the meat and broccoli or kale
snacks macadamia nuts (22 halves) or 12-15 cashews or almonds
occassionally sleepytime tea with 2 oz of cream
when i use fit day to check my calories, it shows usually about 68-70% fat but i struggle to get more.
Admittedly, exercise is low. some walking, some non strenous bike riding with child, 4-6 miles, and house renovation, "wax on wax off ;) "
I am considering making the same meals for two weeks to see if i can get a handle on staying in ketosis.
Any thoughts?
