Ok so its a pretty pointless question, but sadly curiosity overpowered me. So basically how old is everyone on here. I'm 17, perhaps on of the youngest or is there anyone my age?

I suppose there might be a few that will want it closed since its not really relevant, so I'll ask at what age did you start paleo or the new evolutionary diet, primal blueprint or whatever you want to call this lifestyle and how long have you been following it?

I'm 64 but slightly immature. :) I am mostly paleo with a bit of straying, like red wine every night and the occasional evil ingredient in my meals.

40, just started in January, and I feel better than I ever did when I was in my 20's. Loads more energy, far more strength, wish I found this when I was younger.

I'm 40. Been low-carbing for most of a decade, but was never able to get where I wanted to be. Full-on paleo now for 3 months. Still waiting for all my inflammation crap to subside, but I've lost some weight and feel a little better every day.

I'm 62, will be 63 in Jan. I've been Paleo since Feb of this year. Prior to that, Low Carb via Atkins, prior to that, sick and fat. Now I'm lean, healthy, and happy. Hubby and son are Paleo, too.

Me: 57. Feeling great, like I've been in training for this time of my life. Maybe because I have been. I plan to peak around, oh, 86, and then settle into a sweet plateau.

All of you who are way younger than my current age, keep on this road. You'll live to be 120 and be doing amazing stuff. Those of you who are 30 and complaining, please stop being ridiculous. You 40-year-olds heard moaning about "getting old," shape up or I'm coming over to make noise in your front yard. As for the person in his 50s who self-identified as a "geezer," all I can urge you to do is look up Ellen Langer's "counterclockwise" study where men in their 70s agreed to live for a week as if they were 20 years younger. All showed significant improvement along a range of biophysical markers.

C'mon, gang. The very fact that we're here, means some light is on. Don't let it go out. By the way, check out the no-longer-full-but-no-less-amazing Moon tonight. Gorgeous here in California.

28, been paleo about 3 months now. Didn't do it to drop weight, but I'm 5 pounds smaller and feel amazing from all the other wonderful side effects!

I envy those of you who've discovered the benefits of paleo so early in life!

I'm 43, and have played with paleo over the past year, but have only recently gotten serious about it. I have about 10 more lbs I'd like to lose.

My 10 yo son is on board, and both of us have noticed his much more stable moods, and an end to his "restless leg syndrome" that used to keep him from getting to sleep.

For myself - my emotions and attitude have stabilized, less anxiety, better sleep, no longer feeling bloated, and - most thrilling - NO more gallbladder issues!

I was 29 and obese. Felt 40. Didn't want to be obese at 30. Lost 105lb that year.

Will be 33 this April. Feel 21.

43 years young! I started my diet changing journey about 20 years ago. In those days we didn't call it Paleo or Primal. It is great to see such a change in mainstream interest and acceptance of 'healthy eating' and lifestyle!

Keep up the great work and always keep learning ;-) ~jgirl

I am 52....just started Paleo a month ago. But have been gluten and dairy free for two years. I started because of the physical ailments I was experiencing...migraines, a lifetime of IBS, Chronic Fatigue.....all taken care of without the gluten and dairy. I have gone Paleo because this lifestyle includes the beans, corn and the rice, or rather doesn't include them. I seemed to still be getting 'sick' and now do not have any problems without all grains and beans. Really happy and young!

I normally don't admit this until someone has guessed my age about 7-10 years younger than I am, but I'm 41 and started the paleo path in November upon learning about phyto-estrogen, raw soy, and "How we used to eat." According to a lot of things I researched, modern diseases (i.e. cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc.) started popping up when unsprouted grains and refined sugars entered the mainstream diet around 1920. So, that started me on the "no unsprouted grains" kick to go along with no artificial sweeteners, no MSG, no HFCS, no crappy oils and more, that I had been accumulating since my teen years. Paleo/whole foods/natural has straightened out some major systems for me. IBS, wacky menstrual cycles, fibromyalgia and migranes are either gone or significantly reduced. Seriously. No grains other than Eucharist, no chocolate - except on holidays - and one cappuccino a week after Mass on Sunday, and I feel great.

Now, with fresh fruit and vegetable season coming up, how to justify making the vats of strawberry and peach preserves and how to primally make apple pie....

16 and started one year ago. I'm jealous of all those paleo babies out there, no IBS, Celiac, etc ridiculousness.
