I don't understand how anyone doing grass-fed paleo can get enough fat in their diet? I just had a couple of pork belly cuts arrive and they are so lean. I couldn't imagine getting 200 grams of fat from grass-fed meat. Any suggestions?
We're planning on getting some grass fed beef next week (going to get a freezer this weekend, woohoo!) If it isn't fatty enough, you can always cook in butter, coconut milk, ghee. There's a lot of options :)
Our local butcher sells grass finished beef. I asked him about their pork once, he said he does not grass feed the hogs, they are lean enough already, he said it would make their fat levels too low. Maybe this is what you are seeing?
