I thought it would be worthwhile to share this data for the other Paleo newbies out there. I started Paleo on March 1.

Avg daily kcal: 1876 carbs 139g (29.64%) fat 94g (45.34%) protein 117g (25.01%) Weight loss: 15.8 lbs (from 209.6 to 193.8)

I am an endurance athlete (rower, cyclist, runner) (got into Paleo after reading Cordain's Paleo Diet for Athletes), so my workout regimen is skewed toward aerobic efforts.

Avg daily minutes of "cardio" (mix of intervals and steady state training): 35 (45-60 minutes 5x per week) Avg daily minutes of strength training: 11 (usually 20-30 min, 2-3x per week)

Initially my endurance during workouts sucked, but about 3 weeks into this, it returned and I have plenty of energy now during workouts. In fact, I did a personal best rowing half-marathon on March 27.

Other results: Massively increased sensitivity to sugar. I had a few chocolate candies last week and my head was buzzing from the sugar immediately. Less hunger through the day, I rarely am famished heading into a meal now. Decreased bowel movements (sorry, if this is TMI), down from 2 per day to 1 very regular.

Am curious about how many carbs other athletes are consuming with similar activity levels.

I never go over 150. I think you're spot on with the carbs
