I weigh myself on bathroom scales that have a body fat percent function, I have to enter my age, at 33 I am at 18% body fat, if I change my age to 67 it says I am 15% body fat. Obviously these scales are a hoax and are doing nothing more than calculating some maths between my height and age and the standard BMI; I think it could could kill me trying to get down to even 15% body fat on these scales. I am only taking note of the weight it reads these days, but want to get an accurate measurement of my bodyfat %, because I am interested in gaining muscle mass but loosing body fat.
I am about the same height/age/weight as ex-brazilian football player ronaldo who is clearly overweight, but inside the BMI: http://www.abc.es/20110315/deportes-futbol/abci-ronaldo-bascula-201103151059.html but I am a hell of a lot leaner than he is. I have more muscle I guess?
Recommendations for makes of bathroom scales that actually do work? (available to europe :))
