Possible Duplicate:
Can I eat butter?

I'm quite sure I am going to get verbally beat up for this question but I am going to ask anyway. Since becoming Paleo I was under the impression that dairy was not an option mainly because if a caveman came across a cow he would more than likely eat it than milk it. Therefore making milk and by extension butter a no no on the paleo list. Did I miss something? Thanks in adavnce for the responses.

Hi. I think the point about paleo eating is not 're-enactment' per se but utilising modern day foods and supplements to mimic the nutritional benefits of such a diet.

That being said, there are a lot of posts about both of these items - a quick search yields plenty of information. Kurt Harris I believe occasionally drinks milk and eats a lot of butter. It depends on how you react to these items - if you have no issues then there shouldn't be a problem.

Experiment and see what works for you. I eat butter and do occasionally drink whole milk.
