I'm going to college at Auburn University and I would love to get a group together, find some like-minded friends, just someone with the same interests, a workout partner or group, etc.
If you live in Auburn and would like to get together, leave your contact info or send me an e-mail at
I went to Auburn and now live in Columbus, GA. I still visit Auburn frequently.
There is not much that I have seen in the way of Paleo in Columbus. There is a local Crossfit box here. I have been wanting to stop in there but I have not yet had the time. Their website has links to The Primal Blueprint and The Paleo Diet, so I assume that there are some Paleos about.
There is a Farmer's market every Saturday at the Landings shopping center. There is a local farm that offers a farm share and they have grass-fed ground beef available.
LaurieSafari, I'm in Birmingham too. Want to have some black coffee & chat about paleo stuff sometime? I'm also looking for some good local places to get pastured beef and chicken/eggs. Any good ideas? I'm not 100% satisfied with the finds at WholeFoods.
Hey, for all those in the Birmingham area, here's an alternative to Whole Foods:
They're called Organic Harvest. They're family owned and are extremely helpful. You can get local pastured eggs here (from the Little Shangri La Farm in Trussville, AL). All their produce is organic and they have a fairly decent selection of meat considering they do not have a dedicated butcher.
Also, if you're into gluten-free "products" they have plenty.
