Any advice on Paleo while sick (flu, common cold). I have always downed a bag of saltines to make my stomach feel settled and/or had some chicken noodle soup? All feel good foods for a cold.

Chicken soup without noodles! I've found my neti pot to be really helpful- purely anecdotal but the last couple times the boyfriend and I have been sick, I use the neti pot a few times a day & I get better way faster than he does! |

I have an upper respiratory infection right now and bone broth, the neti pot, garlic, and lots of Vitamin C seem to be helping. |

I asked a similar question last week and people offered many of these suggestions - which were excellent. I made some sugar-free gelatin with Knox unflavored gelatin and DaVinci sugar free syrup (which is sweetened only with Stevia). I then put a bowl of coconut milk in the fridge so it firmed up like whipped cream and slopped it on top. I did that instead of whipping heavy cream just to add extra calories - I hadn't eaten in 2 days and needed them! |
