I bought some jellyfish from the local Asian food store today.Supposedly it has some health benefits, and seems like an interesting alternative to my normal everyday food.Anyone have experience with it?
I haven't cooked it at home, but at a Chinese seafood restaurant I used to love what was basically a jellyfish salad dish. It had these ingredients if I remember correctly: jellyfish (shredded, and I think it was prepared in boiling water then soaked in cold water then dried, maybe salted too), cilantro, candied walnuts, preserved egg (not sure if it was chicken egg or duck egg, but it was purple from fermentation!), radish (could maybe also use shredded turnips or cabbage as well). I think it had vinegar and some sort of vegetable oil, as well.
