I can't buy an expensive filter right now... and I don't want fluoride or any other chemicals in my water. Does distilled water really deplete the body of minerals? Do we really get that many minerals from regular water? What is the healthiest water I can buy (by the gallon) at the supermarket? By the way I live in Atlanta, Ga right next to a Publix grocery store.
Edit: I need an answer quick! I am going to the store sooooon haha

Wow, Flavio, thats good to know! I knew that drinking it wasnt good for you as it it brings nothing to the table, but takes a lot away, some that you need. I however did not know, or even think about the acidity standpoint. As someone that struggles with gout, I have to keep my acidity in check whenever possible.
Distilled water won't hurt you however there is no need for it. You will miss out on the small amount of minerals that are normally contained in water. These can make up a small contribution to your calcium and magnesium intake if your water is hard.
Distilled water is all around us, it is called rain. Does anyone think drinking clean rain water would be bad for you?* The small amount of carbon dioxide disolved in distilled water is also found in rain and rainwater is also slightly acidic. This will not acidify your body.
If you don't like your tap water you could just by a filter, these do not cost very much. Also many places now sell bottled water that is filtered from your local tap water. This is usually cheaper than bottled springwater that has been shipped across the country. I expect your supermarket sells many different brands of bottled water.
It is better to spend money on your good food than expensive water or expensive water filters.
*I realise that rainwater can be polluted.
I believe that distilled water is healthy for you and you should consider drinking it on the basis alone that the toxic, Sodium Fluoride isn't in it. Avoid tap water at all costs, unless you know for sure that Fluoride isn't being added to it.
This article blows the lip off of many untrue myths about Distilled water.
