I've read tens of thousands of words on various paleoish blogs in the last year, as well as listening to hours of podcasts. I've gleaned from this what strikes me as a very convincing argument that gluten should be avoided. But I don't think I'd be able to summarize this argument in a thorough yet concise way, and I don't have a good resource to refer to which to refer someone who hasn't been steeped in this stuff.

So I'm looking for an online resource that gives this kind of summary- something that someone could read through fairly easily, and come away with a good sense of the scientific evidence that's out there.

Thanks!

This discussion includes lots of summaries (paleohacks.com/questions/20017/…) but specifically (evolvify.com/…) is good. – David Moss Apr 15 2011 at 11:13

The links Jason listed are great, a favourite of mine to give the unenlightened is this Tim Ferris blog post that features a chapter from Robb Wolf's book. IMO it gives an incredible, easy to read, overview of why grains should be avoided.

Wow, that's a great link. I do recall skimming over it before at some point but will have a proper read now you've reminded me. – Jason Apr 15 2011 at 10:54

Hi Nico,

These two posts by Mark are pretty good sources of general information:

Gluten

The Definitive Guide to Grains

And this post by Kurt Harris is really good:

The Argument Against Cereal Grains

Hope that helps. I don't know if there is a definitive primer anywhere; I don't recall seeing one yet.
