In order to heal my adrenal fatigue and screwed up cortisol levels, I got the advice to go more highcarb (with the same amounts of protein and fat)
So now I'm wondering which sources of highcarb apart from sweet potato/yams,red beets and pumpkin/squashes there are that are higher in glucose than fructose? I might add some fruit though I don't want to go bordering on diabetes again. In reverse which fruits are ideal, apart from berries?(cause I only love strawberries)
So yay for fatgain!:s....maybe I'll finally get over my fear to get fat,as i hopefully start to feel better, especially mentally
I'd like to gain some muscle in the process.Anybody any advice how to do this, without stressing the adrenals/my body and how frequent and for how long (20 min.?30min.? more or less?)
It seems that people here that eat 75-80% fat, 10-15% protein and less than 5% carbs do not have adrenal issues nor do they have mood or feeling bad problems.
The adivice to go high carb is a little strange since you say you are borderline diabetic. I hope you know that carbs are basically strings of sugar molecules strung together to look like carbs. When they breakdown in the gut, they are converted to blood sugar which spikes your insulin...so you are not really avoiding sugar at all.
If you will eat a ketogenic diet, you will control your blood sugar and your mood and you stress cortisol problems. And you will lose a few unwanted pounds.
Also getting noon sunshine for 20 min a day half naked...10 min a side will supply you with a goodly amount of Vit D3 which also greatly helps to elevate mood. Or supplement with Vit D3 10000IU for three months...then back off to 5000IU per day.
Do Tabata wind sprints twice a week.
With the Ketogenic diet, your body may run out of energy because you body is converting itself from burning the sugar and carbs you used to intake to burning your eaten and stored fat.
