I just viewed this video [link text][1] [1]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=4ITrXVJMKeQ

and it is pretty scary (if true). Dr Helen Caldicott claims that our food in North America can be contaminated by the radiation from Japan. Is this a bunch of hype, or is it possible or even probable that our food could become contaminated?

There are some good answers here http://paleohacks.com/questions/32804/what-are-you-doing-to-avoid-radioactive-contamination-in-your-food/32824#32824

Dr Caldicott is a physician and an anti-nuclear advocate - so I would suggest sourcing some more information in order to get a complete picture

Lots of info there, thank you. The problem I have is even if the truth is somewhere in the middle, it sounds like our food could get contaminated, and there is not much we can do about it. – Annie Apr 26 2011 at 22:11
