So,I started full on primal on Friday but I am concerned about my hunger.Heres my food log from mynetdiary.

On Friday I had :2 slices of organic bacon, sauted in the pan until fat is out and then kept on frying them in the fat.2 medium size eggs cooked over easy in the bacon grease. Some cayenne to taste. 1 large t-bone steak, sauted in butter with cayenne and provenceal herbs.1 small cucumber dressed with extra virgin olive oil. 2 chicken and 2 pork kebabs with lemon and herbs(around 70grams each kebab) I also had a big cup of green tea and about 5 strawberries in the evening.

On Suturday I had:as above for breakfast but I had 1 eggs instead of 2. 2 pieces of chuck steak sauted in olive oil, approximatelly 300grams in weight cooked, with herbs and spices. 2 small cucumbers, peeled and dressed with olive oil. A small piece of leftover chuck steak, proapbly less than 80grams. I also had 330ml of stout guinness beer and 2 scoops of no sugar ice cream.

On Sunday I had about 300grams of yearly lamb chops, which is almost 50% fat,and about 100grams of spring lamb chops both grilled over a charcoal fire and sprinkled with some salt, oregano and lemon. I also had about half a medium cucumber dressed in olive oil and about 4 slices of deep fried succhini, from which I removed the batter before eating it. I also had about 10 almonds around 7pm. Sleeping hours around 8-9,I go to bed sleepy and I wake up naturally.

As you probably guessed I am VLC at the moment and my ratios are approximately 50-65% fat,35-40% protein and the rest is carbs depending on the day. I am feeling really good and since my goal is weight loss,I believe that I am on the right track. I test with ketodiastix for ketosis every day and on Sunday afternoon, after launch,I was on the colour of 80(the one before the last that is).

My calorie intake goal is around 1600kcal but I barely got over 1200 during the weekend. On Friday, which is the day I started paleo and naturally felt the most hungry,I got just over 1600kcl with all that food! The thing is that I am not hungry,I have no cravings,no dizzines,no nothing.I am simply not hungry and I also feel really good!I have tried dieting in the past(Men's health style) by eating the same amount of calories but I felt terrible, really hungry and edgy! Is it normal?I really do not want to force myself eat more because it is uncomfortable and I feel I'm going to burst!I am a 22 year old male,5 foot 10 and around 250 pounds so I have a lot of fat to lose! Finally, any comment about my food log?Beef is not entirely grass fed but grass finished I'd say and the lamb is grass fed this time of year. Thank you guys!

I think you are doing great! Hunger suppression is a natural side effect of a ketogenic diet - this is well known from the scientific studies of these diets for epileptics. Fat seems to be quite satiating. Protein is as well. Or maybe its just the deep ketosis.

Stay the course and eat as much as you truly want. There is no requirement to eat more. Your body should be able to make up the difference from your own fat stores, which is what you want to happen.

Going strict paleo is a strong appetite suppressant for me. The flip side is having just a few starchy items (i.e. cheats) causes a lot of hunger pangs for a day or two afterwards.

Immediately after switching to strict Paleo, I find I lose my appetite for breakfast, some days it is 1-2pm before I remember to eat anything. Even when I do get hungry, it is a low-grade "I could easily skip this meal" hunger. What is delightfully absent is the spacy light-headed feeling I used to get when I was hungry, so that I couldn't concentrate on anything.

Really, I feel like I could skip almost every meal, until about 15-18 hours of fasting and after I work out, which BTW is a great way to take control of your calorie intake and food choices. I think it is a great attitude to look at every meal as something you could skip, and every food choice is optional. So if you are in situations where Paleo food is not available, just drink mineral water or something until some other time.

I wish I could shake people and yell this at them until they never question it again.

If you're not hungry, it doesn't matter! That's your body telling you there's no need to eat. You won't starve. You won't die. Your thyroid won't down regulate, you won't get sick, you won't get nutritional deficiencies! There is no reason to worry unless you are getting very, very lean already and still aren't hungry.
