So last night...I had to cheat. Well, "had" is a strong term, but hear me out!
I drove from New Jersey back to home (Western NY), leaving around 8pm, and got to a point where I knew I needed to stay awake. I had stopped for black coffee, which did not really help all that much.
Using the logic of "since I never drink it, the effect will be that much stronger," I bought one of those NoS drinks and it definitely worked. So did loud rock music and having the windows down, but I got home around 2:30am in one piece.
I don't feel guilty, but I don't feel thrilled about drinking one of these, since it goes so far off the path of Paleo. My question to you: how have you cheated, if at all, on the Paleo Diet?
And for the record, I don't mean the occasional cheat meal as in 80/20 dieting and all that. I'm talking straight up "I-wish-I-hadn't-put-that-in-my-face" type cheating.
